Well we had a good weekend. Friday night we had a good dinner at Famous Daves before the storms came rolling in. I got to watch Carter all day on Saturday. That went well. We mostly stayed around here but it was good to play with the little boy.
Sunday, tennis ruled the day and it was goooooooood. My 3.5 team defeated the long time defending champs 4-1. They have not been beaten in local league play in a long time. I think they have won the league at least 9 years in a row. This puts us alone in first place as the only undefeated team. AWESEOME. After that I traveled across town to play singles for my 3.0 team. I won easily against my urologist, (who will remain nameless.) I am now 4-0 at 3.0 singles this season. It is the best start I have ever gotten off to. Jana brought Carter over to watch me a little bit. He came over to the fence and screamed at me which was cute. I'm glad he recognizes me even on the court with my sunglasses on. Sweet boy.
Later we all went to Brewsters for ice cream. I rode my super sexy bike. (see my previous post) Today it was back to the awful workplace but I hope to leave there soon. Tommorrow I will travel to Hooters for Bike Night. I have a gift certificate I need to use. No really, I do!

Not sure what makes me want to post all the sudden after a nearly 6 month absence, but here I am. Also, I'm not sure what to say since there is obviously a lot that happens in one's life in 6 months, but here I go.
Carter is feeling sick today. But he is such a sweet boy. He isn't a baby anymore and that is a little sad. Makes us want to start thinking about another one, but since I'm sure a loser I think that will have to wait. Why can't I get my life together?
I sold my old motorcycle maybe two months ago. I cant even remember! Anyway, I got myself a new one, ( well not new, but new to me.) Its so sweet and I got a killer deal on it. It is the same type of bike that Tom Cruise rode in Mission Impossible 2 near the end. See?

So....here's mine! 2002 Triumph Speed Triple

I'm still working at the same dead end job and going to PSTCC for web design. I'm completely unmotivated and still looking for something to kick me into gear. Not sure what else it takes. I have plenty to work towards!
Oh, congrats to the TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS who ended a great season today by losing in the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney. What a fantastic start to the Pearl Era. Things will only get better.
Ok, enough rambling. I have a tennis match tommorrow and I need to focus (yeah right!) See you in 6 months!

Soooooooooooeeeeeyyyy. HERE PIG!
I'm in Cary, NC playing for the Southern Section Mixed Doubles Championship. This morning, my team won our first match. All three courts were close but we won them all. Very exciting. The team we beat was from Arkansas. We are playing against teams from all over the south, so every team we go up against is a state champ. I try to imagine we are the Tennessee Vols playing against all the other SEC teams. Thats basically what it is. I wore my orange and white today. I wanted to make sure they knew where we were from. Go VOLS! We were supposed to play KY next but they did not make the trip. That really stinks!
Tommorrow we playing against NC and SC...ok NC isnt in the SEC but whatever!
You know I must be excited if I"m posting a blog entry. Wish me luck.

HAPPY 30th JANA JO!
10 years ago, I put post it notes all over your car on the first birthday of many that we would spend together. Now, on your 30th, I put post it notes all over the tanning lotions at Raley's as I try to complete our yearly inventory. Whew, things have changed quite a bit, but I love you all the same. No...more so. Have a wondeful day Jana. I love you.

Well, birthday #1 is over and done. I am very nervous now, hoping that Carter had a good day and praying I did all I could. He is still so small and probably won't remember this day, but I wanted him to have fun anyway. We took the cupcakes I made to preschool today and he shared them with his friends. Carter dove right into his and finished it off. I think all the boys did except Jesse, who fell asleep in the middle of his.

All gone!
When Carter came home, I had another present waiting in his room. It is a walker/ride alone toy. He seemed to like it but I feel bad that we don't have more room for him to use it. What to do? We all ate dinner together. Jana and I ate a pizza for Carter while he ate his corn, etc. He was very curious about the pizza however. We lit the candle on the cake and took a picture, but it was all just very ceremonial, as I do not think Carter was very interested. He has many more presents to go, but we will spread them out over the next couple days. His party is Saturday. Hopefully it will go well. Baby boy is now sleeping, with Mommy snuggled in next to him. I'm sure she will wake up before bedtime. I must now go to finish printing pictures from the past couple months, including today. Perhaps I could get this house cleaned before Saturday! Yeah right.

Carter's first birthday is under way. After waking up this morning little boy Carter received his first gift, a Mega Blocks Wagon with 50 blocks inside. He enjoyed pushing it around the room and down the hall. I think this gift will be a good one. He also enjoyed looking at the balloons that mommy and daddy blew up for him last night. There will probably be one popped I'm sure. But most exciting, at least for the parents was the 180 degree turn Carter got to do this morning in the car. He is no longer a rear facing baby but a forward facing little boy when riding in the car. Oh....so sad, but so exciting. Well, much to do. Daddy baked and decorated cupcakes for Carter's preschool. Perhaps pictures will be posted! Gotta run, updates later!

Yesterday I slayed a dragon! It wasn't just any dragon though...it was THE DRAGON It was amazing. To make the ride even better, my Dad came down from VA with his Harley and rode it with me. I"m telling you this is a great route to take by car or motorcycle, though I strongly suggest the latter. Here is a shot of us leaving my house to go meet this dragon.
I had a great time. I plan to slay the beast again and again. Amazing that I have lived so close to this creature and never went to meet him. Yeah, those are leather pants. Don't laugh, I know you want it! Too bad though...I have a hot blonde biker wife. She and I went for a ride together for the first time on this bike last night as well. We ate at Conners, then went to see War of the Worlds. Both were excellent, though I think I may have perfered the dinner and ride. Well, speaking of dinner...I am VERY hungry and must go eat. As for this post...YOU'RE WELCOME! (Nick Burrrrns, Your Company Computer Guy!)
